Greetings from sunny Phoenix Arizona,

I'm stoked to be goin to the Warped Tour out here in Phoenix this summer and want to help promote and advertise for the event out here. My buddies from Tomorrows Bad Seeds said to hit you up to get more info on that. I currently go to school at The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe and am intering at a studio called Gold Cap Productions. I also promote local shows for a promotion team with a guy named Steve the Stomp. I'm eager and ready to get out there and put up Warped Tour flyers all over town. Feel free to call me on my cell at 714)600-0825. Thanks for your time and cheers

Warm regards,
Raul Martinez

Hi, my name is Breanna Rose and I'm 19 years old. I've been a huge fan of the Vans company and have been attending Warped Tour for years now. I was wondering if you needed any help in Scranton on 07/14? I do have volunteer experience, I volunteered with American Rag last year for a few days on Warped. My e-mail is breannalrose@gmail.com, I hope to hear from you soon. Thank so much :)

In 1996, the Warped Tour was coming off of a successful first year with bands like NOFX and Pennywise bringing punk rock fans to shows around the country. The fledgling tour was struggling financially, though, and founder Kevin Lyman was in need of more sponsorship backing. At the same time, Vans' Steve Van Doren was looking to create a nationwide skate tour. The two had a very fortunate meeting and the Vans-Warped Tour marriage was forged in just 15 minutes! Kevin would have his punk tour and Steve would get his amateur skate tour to go alongside it. It was a match made in heaven and it has turned out to be a great combination for the past 15 summers. Thirty years before the Warped Tour was even a gleam in Kevin's eye, the Van Doren Rubber Company opened up for business in 1966 in Anaheim, Calif. While Vans was stitching together its first soles, kids all around Southern California were discovering the crazy things you could do on surf and skateboards. Vans sticky waffle grip was a perfect fit for skateboarding with skaters literally exporting Vans shoes around the world on their boards. Over the past 40 years, Vans has evolved beyond just surf and skate sensibilities to draw influence from a Southern California culture that is as diverse as it is progressive. Incorporating elements from fashion, art and music with roots deep in board heritage, Vans offers a full range of classic footwear and timeless apparel, breathing new life into your favorites each season.
