It is no coincidence that listeners of STRAY FROM THE PATH will often have a difficult time confining them to a specific genre. They have made it a point to remain unpredictable, intricate and intelligent. Listeners can expect their music to surpass the gratuitous and/or contrived music that is all too common today, and instead perform articulate songs that refuse to compromise their precision, honesty and genuine desire to impress.

In 2013, the group delivers their most cohesive, intricate and mature effort of their career and look to solidify themselves as one of the hardcore/metal genre's most dynamic artists. This in-your-face, blistering new offering, Anonymous, is STRAY FROM THE PATH's fourth full-length album and was produced by Will Putney (Chiodos, For Today) at the Machine Shop in NJ. Whether you love it or hate it, you are going to hear the soundtrack of four kids who grew up in a hardcore scene who are now furious with the current state of the music scene and have something to actually say about it.

Tom Williams (guitars) states: "We never tried to re-create Make Your Own History, so we stepped aside and created Rising Sun. We didn't want to re-create Rising Sun, so we stepped aside and we created Anonymous. We will never be a band that gives you the same record more than once. There are plenty of bands that do that for us.

"The idea behind Anonymous is doing something selflessly because you think that it will be better for the human race. What we want to accomplish with this record is to raise awareness for things that concern us with our country, share personal issues throughout our lives and bring you a record that is heavy, fresh and powerful. The main musical focus of Anonymous is to capture the universal language, that is, bobbing your head. Everybody can feel it, no matter what style of music, people can feel the flow. We want to harness that feeling and bring it to the masses across the world."

STRAY FROM THE PATH has always went into writing new music with intentions to keep it fresh, keep it powerful and keep it pissed. Anonymous has it's own mood on the record, with a dark energy throughout.
