BOTDF sucks. They're terrible. But, AA isn't too bad. I still like other stuff like Blink, Rise Against, Panic! Red Jumpsuit, and Sum 41. But, you can't beat hardcore music

Do you want an explanation? Like, a for real explanation? Because I was thinking about this the other day, you know. Sort of like a theory for why people like different forms of music.
My theory is that different people experience different things in their life. I believe that people like music that reflects their life. So, say, someone who grew up thinking that life was one big party would like music that reflects that, whether it's dance stuff you hear on the radio or BOTDF. Some people grow up experiencing really intense, long lasting friendships and thus, they search for music that revolves around friendship, which, if you ask me, is what pop-punk is mostly about. Of course, nothing is so clean cut and black and white. There's sure to be different influences having varying effects on musical tastes. Regardless, the point is that musical taste, in my opinion, is a result of how one lives one life. From an objective viewpoint, you can't really make judgement statements about someone's way of life and thus, you can't really make judgement statements about someone's music taste.

^ Although I respect what you said, I think people here are looking for people to agree with them, not logic or any of that silly stuff.

Yeah, people on the Internet are not a fan of philosophy. Nonetheless, decent explanation.
